Hi, I’m Krista Stryker—founder of 12 Minute Athlete.

I help people of all fitness levels train like athletes, build real strength, and unlock their full potential.

I'm an NSCA-certified personal trainer, handstand enthusiast, and competitive jiu-jitsu athlete. For the past 15+ years, I’ve helped thousands of people build strong, capable bodies without spending hours in the gym through my 12 Minute Athlete website, book, and app.

How it Started

I didn’t always train this way.
When I first became a personal trainer in NYC, I did what I thought I had to do: hours of cardio, weights, and sports-specific training. But it left me injured, burned out—and still feeling like it wasn’t enough.

Then I discovered high-intensity interval training and bodyweight workouts. Everything changed.

I got stronger, leaner, and more athletic than ever. I started doing things I never imagined—100 burpees in under 6 minutes, pull-ups, handstands—all with short, efficient workouts that fit into real life.

That’s why I created 12 Minute Athlete—to help people get real results in minimal time, with a fitness approach that fits into your life, not the other way around. My goal is simple: to help you build strength, confidence, and a body that supports you for life—without spending endless hours working out.

Today, 12 Minute Athlete has grown into a global community of people committed to training smarter, moving better, and staying strong for life. My work has been featured in The Washington Post, Shape Magazine, Men’s Fitness, and more, and I’ve helped thousands of people—from total beginners to elite athletes—transform their fitness in a way that lasts.
